Last weekend, I encountered the ultimate crisis when my HP Laptop Computer crashed and I could not get it back up. I was mired in several on going business transactions that required on going access to my email and to my documents. I called Remote Restore and the consultant talked me through several actions but finally told me it seemed like I had a Hard Drive crash and I had to get the laptop to your facility in Fort Myers.
I quickly did that and here is where the magic of Remote Restore came to the rescue. Here is a chronology of events that shows the unique and extraordinary personal service that Remote Restore provided to me in my time of real need.

1. First, thankfully, I signed up with Remote Restore in May and had one previous satisfactory interface from my summer home in New Jersey where your team provided a tune up and speed up. I also visited your offices for an upgrade and was warned that my 5 year old heavily used laptop had a hard drive with serious frailties.

2. This computer crash happened when I was in my Naples, Florida home which enabled me to quickly drive to Fort Myers for help. Upon arrival Jonathan Gentle quickly took the laptop to the back room and diagnosed the problem. They found that the hard drive had indeed crashed. They tried to quickly install a new hard drive and found that the problem was still not resolved. They did additional diagnosis and found a main board was "fried" and gone making my computer DOA-Dead on Arrival. I peevishly asked if that meant all of my documents were lost? The response was reverently given with great sympathy-"Yes, Mr. Gamba all of your information on the computer is lost and irretrievable". Of course, your team quickly gave me a glass of water and had me sit down to relieve the shock.

3. When I recovered, I asked what to do now. They said I needed a new laptop computer. I told them of my immediate needs and time urgency. In a flash Jonathan Gentle went on line and checked for laptops in stock at the local Best Buy. He found exactly what I wanted and put a hold on it so I could drive to the store and pick up my new laptop. Jonathan did an incredible job of reviewing features, function and price with his own testimonial for service history-all to my benefit. He did this in minutes in response to my time urgency.

4. I quickly drove to Best Buy purchased the new laptop and returned to Remote Restore headquarters within 90 minutes. Your team was waiting. The big challenge was to see if they could recover all of my documents from an online storage company I was using. (I will go to Remote Restore's online back up system when my present subscription runs out)

5. I had never verified that my data was indeed being saved so I had no assurance that they could recover my documents. They found a way to do it! All of my information was recovered. My new laptop was initialized. New virus protection was installed. I was alive again. Remote Restore's Rescue was complete and in record time.

Please pass along my heartfelt thanks to Jonathan who was my personal interface and guardian angel throughout my time of crisis. The team in the back room also came through like champs and deserve praise and thanks but I did not get their names.
